In recent years, sport psychology has become more accepted as an integral part of athletic performance. Many well known and accomplished athletes openly refer to their work with sport psychologists as an important factor in their success.
No longer is it perceived as a weakness and that only troubled people use psychology; rather mental training is seen as important as technique, tactics and fitness. The Sport Psychology Center in cooperation with international educational consultants has developed a program to develop mental skills which include the following:
