Sports as a Therapeutic Tool - Course
דצמבר 2026 ההרשמה נפתחה
The Sports Psychology Center is proud to present the first course of its kind -
Sports as a Therapeutic Tool

This practical course is designed to give participants the theory, tools and supervised experience to work with youth in a sport environment.
סטודנטים מספרים:

Sport as a therapeutic tool is an emerging field today. By going with the strengths and passions of the child, sport becomes a vehicle to better cope with the stressors and conflicts of everyday life. The conventional and traditional therapeutic approach that takes place in a room has limited success with youth. Sport as a therapeutic tool provides a fun, and experiential way for youth to connect to the therapeutic process.
The course participants will learn to build a meaningful relationship, to model effective skills to deal with difficulties, and to enhance the confidence, self-esteem and well-being of the child. In addition, physical activity helps the child develop self-sufficiency and confidence in himself and his abilities. It allows him to get stronger and acquire tools to deal with challenges and difficulties, alongside feelings of satisfaction and success that come from effort, practice and perseverance.

In the course we will look at the theories of Kohut, Winnicott, SDT (Self Determination Therapy), narrative therapy and CBT and examine them from the overall perspective of sports psychology.
